The Honolulu Festival is back! After a three year pandemic pause, the 27th annual Honolulu Festival will be held from March 10-12, 2023. This premier cultural event in Hawaii promotes understanding, economic cooperation and ethnic harmony between the people of Hawaii and other countries around the Pacific Rim.
The festival will feature a variety of cultural events throughout Waikiki that celebrate the spiritual and cultural aspects of Hawaii. There will be performances by local artists, traditional Hawaiian music and hula dancing, as well as art exhibitions and workshops.
This year’s theme is “Connect with Aloha, Forward to the Future” which celebrates the Japanese influence on Hawaii’s culture. As part of this celebration, there will be a spectacular 15-minute Nagaoka Fireworks Show over Waikiki Beach on Saturday night. The show is sure to be an amazing sight for all who attend!
In addition to these activities, there will also be food vendors serving up delicious local cuisine and craft booths featuring handmade items from local artisans. There are also educational programs for children such as storytelling sessions and hands-on activities that teach about Hawaiian culture and history.
The Honolulu Festival is an opportunity for everyone to come together in celebration of our shared heritage and culture. It’s a chance to learn more about each other while having fun at the same time! So if you’re looking for something special to do this March, make sure you don’t miss out on this unique event!
