Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is a must-do activity when visiting Hawaii. The park is stunningly beautiful, and the snorkeling is some of the best in the world. Keyhole Lagoon at Hanauma Bay is the perfect place to explore and have some fun. You’ll get to see an amazing variety of marine life, from colorful fish to coral reefs.
When driving out from Waikiki take H1 Freeway until it ends just after the Kahala Mall and becomes Kalanianaole Highway, continue for another 7 miles. Just past the town of Hawaii Kai you’ll see two large mountains or craters. The entrance to Hanauma Bay is located on the right at the top of the hill. From Waikiki to the Bay is approximately 10 miles or a 30 minute car ride.
