What ‘La Nina’ will bring to Hawaii’s weather – Drier summer?

The National Weather Service says La Nina could be making an appearance soon.

According to Meteorologist Robert Ballard at the National Weather service, Hawaii could see very little rain until October.
“It’s expected to continue to be dry and that’s going to exacerbate problems like wildfires drought is likely to continue we’re already seen this drought starting to pop up on parts of the Big Island and Maui,” said Ballard.
